Personal Minicomputer
The first ever magazine article that showed how to build a computer was in Radio Electronics July 1974, “Build the Mark-8 Your Personal Minicomputer”, a few months before the January 1975 Popular Electronics article on building the Altair 8800. The latter magazine article is often discussed in digital archaeology sources as the starting point for the personal computer revolution.
